| Tianjin Yuguang New Material Co. Ltd was established in 2001 with a registered capital of Rmb10 million ($1.21 million at Rmb8.27:$1). Its 20,000-square-meter factory is located in Xiqing Caozhuangzi Industrial Park. Yuguang is engaged in the manufacture of NdFeB magnets, using its U.S.- patented production technology. The patent was issued by the U.S Patent and Trademark office in July 2001, under Patent No. 6,261,515 B, entitled " Method for Producing Rare Earth Magnet having High Magnetic Properties". It has an R&D center and two subsidiary companies, Tianjin Gangtian Material Co. and Lushen Electric Vehicle Co. Ltd. The latter is a manufacturer of mini- and maxi-scooters and electric bicycles.
