Water-Insulating material AQUATRON-6

Concrete and ferroconcrete constructions in the majority of cases undergo the negative action of moisture. This leads to the active destructive processes: concrete grows old, loses strength, crumbles, different cracks appear in it, water begins to flow, and as a result it is destroyed. How one should protect a house, a garage, a vault from water penetration and its destructive effect? Bitumen? Ruberoid? Polymeric coatings? It is possible, but it is unreliable and not for a long time. Meanwhile it is possible to solve this problem once and for all!
We present to a wide circle of users a new, original development of the company Polyex Ltd. (Biysk Chemical Plant), one of the largest chemical enterprises of Russia located in Gorny Altai. This is a hydro-insulating material of the penetrating action AQUATRON-6 for concrete and brick. AQUATRON-6 does not concede by its quality to foreign analogues, accessible only for the small circle of professionals, surpassing them in a lot of parameters and preserving in this case considerably lower price. Now AQUATRON-6 may be used much wider than recently. With its aid the water-proofing of underwater tunnels of Irkutsk GES (Hydroelectric Power Station), collectors, waters-sump of cleaning constructions of Moscow enterprises, Saint Petersburg, Altai, Kuzbass and other regions of Russia was made.
In the formula of AQUATRON-6 the components are optimized not only by chemical, but also by physical state. Thus, for instance, incorporated in its composition sand, as a result of special mechanical processing is converted from the inert filler into the active component, which increases adhesion with the shielded surface and the strength of a design. The effect of water-tightness is formed due to the reaction between the components of composition and the components of the shielded material. This reaction occurs inside the structure of building material. Chemical constituents of AQUATRON-6 deeply penetrate into material along capillaries under the action of osmotic pressure. As a result of chemical reactions, insoluble, needle-shaped crystals are formed, which fill up capillaries and shrinkage cracks, displacing water. This process occurs both in the direction and against water pressure. The visual change of the structure of moisture-proof mixture in the contact with the building construction, measured by electron microscope, shows the penetration of the composition at the depth of more than 150 mm.
It is established that the permeability to steam (i.e., the ability to dry after moistening and to pass an air without moisture penetration) remains on application of the hydro-insulating composition AQUATRON-6.
AQUATRON-6 also may be successively used as an additive to the cement mortar. Water-tightness and frost-resistance of basic material while this become the same as on application of the product as the coating.
AQUATRON-6 increases the resistance of the workable material to acidic and alkaline solutions, ensures the impenetrability of petroleum products (gasoline, diesel fuel, transformer oil) and increases its frost-resistance (not less than 300 cycles).
AQUATRON-6 is rather simple at application. It is long-lived, non-toxic at putting and operating, does not make a harmful impact on man and environment. It is permitted also to the usage in the contact with drinking water.
The composition has passed certification in NITS "Stroitel'stvo" of Gosstroy of Russia (Scientific-and-Research Center of Building - one of the departments of Russian State Committee for Building), GUP of NIIZhB (Scientific-and-Research Institute of Concrete and Reinforced Concrete, Moscow), NIIMosstroy (Moscow Scientific-and-Research Institute of Building), Orgtekhstroy Ltd. (Technical Building Organization, Novosibirsk), has Hygienic Certificate, Certificate of Gosstroy of Russia (Certificate of Russian State Committee for Building), etc.
By the order No. 1021-RZP from 22.12.1999 of Moscow Government AQUATRON-6 is recommended to the application in building industry of Moscow. In 2000 and 2001 years the diplomas of special program "100 best goods of Russia" were awarded to AQUATRON-6.
It is used at the manufacture of new structures as well as during repair and restoration of the water-tightness of old constructions:
pumping plants and shafts,
water depositories and water towers;
basements,
sewerage collectors,
cleaning constructions,
weirs and water-conducting construction;
swimming pools,
ice sport arenas,
chimney stacks,
cooling towers,
roads, bridges and the overpasses.
