The lexical Fund of the Ukrainian language were appointed as transferable dictionary for
of the Russians. On its ordering is the author spent about 3 years, adding dictionary
their experience. The specificity of the compilation of the dictionary was that the Ukrainian
words was interpreted in Russian-recall that there were times when
officially the Ukrainian word was banned in the Russian Empire
(EMS decree and Valuev circular, precluding the Ukrainian book publishing
language), and the Ukrainian national intelligentsia was looking for any way to
bypass governmental restrictions. Many words in the dictionary are taken and among people
