We offer seeds of maize hybrid "Grand 220"
Included in the State Register of plant varieties suitable for distribution in Ukraine in 2003.
Three-linear early-ripening hybrid, FAO 210/ vegetation period from germination to full ripeness 113-115 days. Plant height 280-290 cm, above-ground nodes on the stem 10-11, leaves 16-17. The cob is of medium length 19-20 cm, slightly conical shape, the number of rows of kernels per ear 16-18. The stem and grain was yellow-orange. The grain of the intermediate type. 1000 grain weight 250-260g.
The average drought tolerance, resistance to lodging and disease at the level of 8 points.
Hybrid yield for the years test strain-testing stations of Ukraine obtained the average grain yield 73-75 kg/ha, which is higher than the standard 5-7 t/ha. Hybrid requires intensive technology of cultivation with the introduction of optimal doses of mineral fertilizers.
Recommended for growing in Forest-steppe zone.
