Tube silicone is the material for home brewing, wine making and brewing.
The silicone tube is designed for connection of devices with a distillation cube, flexible
compounds of moonshine stills and distillation columns with a source of running water,
as well as lengthening of the node of the selection.
In case of contact with alcohol-containing liquids is used exclusively silicone hoses,
and not PVC. Because the alcohol or a strong Distillate is easily eluted from PVC plasticizer – port and
hose, and the product obtained is of extremely dubious quality.
For water you can use cheaper PVC hose. Well, it is better to take the silicone is a much more
durable and does not lose its properties when heated.
To distinguish the silicone from rubber or PVC tubes can be:
1) On combustion. Silicone burns with no soot and it leaves a white ash, and the rubber on the contrary bloat
and leaves black soot.
2) Put in the freezer. Rubber in the cold will freeze, and the silicone tube will stay soft.
Silicone is not afraid of frost. Checked at -57*With silicone hose remained the same soft and
elastic as in 20*C
