Potassium chloride(potassium chloride, potassium salt of hydrochloric acid in its pure form is a white crystalline substance, odorless, hygroscopic caking during storage, is highly soluble in water. Refers to the structural type NaCl.
The melting temperature 776° C, boiling point 1407° C. the Density 1,984 g/cm3.
Found in nature as the mineral sylvite and carnallite, and is part of Silvinit. Potassium chloride is a product of the enrichment of Silvanovich ores and, depending on the enrichment method (gallerycheck or flotation), with the same chemical composition has a different colour: greyish-white (at gallerycheck enrichment) or from pink to red-brown color (with flotation enrichment).
