In 1965, the U.S. Army began to upgrade the latest version of field jacket M-1951, so we got now known field jacket M65 (also known as M65 M-1965, or M-65). One of the recent changes have concerned the appointment of the jacket. She began to position itself as a "field jacket for cold weather" (Coat, Cold Weather, Field, color olive grey OG-107(olive drab). Were later developed by other options of colors and camouflage (woodland camo, desert camo, Vietnamese camo tiger stripe, black, blue, and others). Changes did not affect major parts of the structure of the jacket.
Field jacket M65 is widely used in modern armies in the world. She was many times copied by many manufacturers of military clothing. In military warehouses typically contains the required amount of these jackets as military surplus and commercial instances.
