Concentrated solid nitrogen fertilizer for all agricultural crops.
Urea CO (NH2) 2 (urea) — contains 46% nitrogen in amide form and is the most concentrated solid nitrogen fertilizer. Available in two types: A white crystals or granules (for industry) and B is white or slightly coloured granules (for agriculture). Very soluble in water. Under good storage conditions caked weakly.
Used on all types of soils as a main fertilizer, during sowing and fertilizing
- Regulates growth of vegetative mass
- Increases protein content in grain
- Improves crop yields
- Granular fertilizer, soluble in water, quickly absorbed by plants.
- Has good commercial properties for mixing of fertilizers due to the high strength of granules and enlarged granulometric composition.
The use of urea:
In the main application in soil, urea is as effective as ammonium nitrate. The greatest amount of nitrogen of urea compared to other nitrogen fertilizers mainly determines the economic feasibility of its use as fertilizer and as an additive to feed for ruminants.
Urea is used in rice cultivation, foliar dressing for vegetable and fruit crops, and for the late fertilizing of wheat to increase protein content in the grain. When foliar feeding, unlike other nitrogen fertilizers, urea even at high concentration (5%) does not burn the leaves, and also absorbed by plants.
When surface applied to the soil urea should be promptly repaired, because of the possible loss of nitrogen due to volatilization of ammonia.
On acid soils with the application of urea is recommended for 1 kg of fertilizer to add to 0.8 kg of CaCO3 to neutralize its potential physiological pH. On the day of sowing urea can be mixed with superphosphate and potassium chloride. Well mixing it with phosphorite flour. Urea is stable against leaching, which is important for areas with irrigated agriculture, and can be added to soil in solid form or in the form of solutions with other liquid nitrogen fertilizer.
