Grygoriy Zabolotniy - a retired Colonel, was awarded 30 awards (excellence in the red army, the badge "Veteran", the order "Red star").
Honorary citizen of the village red army (Crimea, Ukraine).
Born February 10, 1921 (one of three in 100 people year of birth, went to the front and returned alive) in S. Volchok Nemirovsky region Vinnytsia region in a family of priest-physician.
Drafted into the red Army in 1939 from the city of Volnovaha of Donetsk region, where he worked in the newspaper "For blowick tempi", in preparation for the entry into Kharkov Institute of journalism.
Participation in the war took from the first days, in the artillery regiment of 152-mm guns in the Kuban. From there sent to the 782-th Separate army division to the position of an artillery scout.
In the fighting near the Crimean village was wounded.
On the eve of 1942 as part of the division crossed the Kerch Strait and was a participant in the seizure of the Crimean bridgehead.
In the future, in part 817-th Separate army division liberated Sevastopol.
While at the front, wrote essays for Newspapers Volnovakha "For blowick tempi", which was marked by command, and he was appointed officer of the newspaper division, 346-th Debaltseve red banner rifle division.
From September 1944 worked in the editorial office of the divisional newspaper "stalinets" in the rank of Sergeant, and in October was given the rank of second Lieutenant.
Victory day met in the German city of Schwerin, composed of the 4th infantry brigade in the position of employee of the newspaper. And in may of ' 45 saw the Berlin in the gloomy ruins.
At the end of the war, along with the team was relocated in Dnepropetrovsk, where appointed editor of the Kiev military district, "Lenin's banner", where he worked for seventeen years and was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.
Since 1957, was a student of the Central military courses in the city of Smolensk.
