Trichogramma is an effective means of protection of plants from harmful insects, in both open and closed ground. Trichograma is a small insect (size 0.4-0.9 mm, yellow to black), which is exclusively a parasite of the eggs of insects. However, parasitic way of life are only of Trichogramma larvae, feeding on the contents of the eggs of insects, the adult specimens of Trichogramma in nature feeding on the nectar of flowers and dew.
Females of Trichogramma 2-3 hours after hatching and mating begins to search the eggs of moths and found that pierces their ovipositor and lays their eggs.
