Cadmium sulfate (Sulfate cadmium) - colorless crystals in the mass of white, dry air partially weathered. Mostly known in the form of a hydrate 3CdSO4·8H2O. Very rarely occurs in nature in the composition of some minerals.
Cadmium sulfate is used in electroplating, in the manufacture of batteries, fluorescent materials, such as electrolyte for batteries or as a dye. The cadmium sulfate is used as an intermediate product in the preparation of other compounds of cadmium, in laboratory practice, etc.
