When selecting labels, you should pay attention to the following important issues that determine the ultimate cost of a roll:
- The linear dimensions of the label (A - B). Measured in millimeters. In the name of the first label indicates width (measured along the axis of rotation of the roller) and then the length (measured along the direction of unwinding of the label) for Example - 30 x 20
- Number of labels per roll (wrapped) (B). The number, usually in multiples of hundreds, denoting the number of labels in one clip. Depends on the height of the label - the larger it is, the less winding (for the universality of consumables). For example - 58 x 30 (1000)
- Type of material labels (G). All labels are divided into 2 groups: ‘Thermo’ and ‘Thermal transfer’. Thermal transfer labels without thermochemical layer. Their printing is carried out using an ink ribbon for thermal transfer printers. Thermal labels printed on thermal transfer and thermal printers, in turn, are divided into TERMOIL and ThermoTop. The protective coating of the label ‘Top’ prevents mechanical damage to the labels, and also protects it from adverse environmental conditions - sunlight, humidity and other factors, significantly reducing the life of the label ‘Eco’. - Roll external diameter (D). Most often measured in millimeters. Important in the selection of the roll of labels for a specific printer with a known maximum outside diameter of roll labels. For example, for the initial class of Zebra printers LP28×4 this parameter is 120 mm
- The diameter of the sleeve (E). Most often measured in millimeters. Important in the selection of the roll of labels for a specific printer with a known inner diameter of the sleeve of the roll of labels.
