 The hot-water radiator pig-iron MS-140М4 500-0,9

Well-known and well-proven Soviet cast-iron radiator, manufactured in Lugansk since 1938. Increased power and capacity of sections

Radiators (battery) heating to any building or premises have been and remain the main source of heat. They work efficiently to transform the energy of the coolant in the warmth and comfort of Your home.

Luhansk battery old model consist of sections made from quality cast iron foundry, connected by nipples of malleable cast iron or cold-rolled steel and have a primer coat before painting. Large diameter horizontal through-pass collectors, equal to 5/4 inch, and double vertical channels of the same section doing these heatsinks are less sensitive to the quality of the coolant which is often contaminated water with colloidal impurities so characteristic of the Ukrainian Central heating systems. Each section in the lower part of one side, provided with a trademark stamp of Lugansk foundry-mechanical plant and the last two digits of the year of the casting of this section. This gives the ability to alert buyer to avoid buying low quality fakes, or refurbished/used battery the last century (see second photo top left).

For readability of information on the proposed models LS will present a comparative analysis of their main characteristics (power, capacity and relative efficiency at Δt=70°C) on the basis of passport data of plant:

- MS-140х500: output a massive 175W/1,35 l = 130 [W/l]

- RD-100х500: 120W/0.8 l = 150 [W/l]

- 3КП-100х500: 135Вт/0.7 l = 193 [W/l]

Thanks to the wide and capacious channels model MS-140-500 has the lowest flow resistance among his "iron brothers", the payoff for this is low efficiency, but in reality this is not true because the payment charged in blocks of flats proportion to the heated area of the home, not the storage capacity of Your radiators. The disadvantages of cast-iron batteries can be attributed to their considerable weight, which complicates their transportation and installation. Also, as a result, cast iron radiators have high thermal inertia and therefore unlike the aluminium radiators are rarely used in closed heating systems with automatic temperature adjustment. As an exception, you can examine individual heating systems based on solid fuel boilers, also has a high thermal inertia.

When you buy any cast iron radiator with any number of sections discount:

- in radiator fittings - 10%

- valves - 5-10%

- pipes and fittings PPR - 15%

Cast iron radiators can be used in all open and closed heating systems. Traditionally, they are usually installed in Central heating systems of residential and industrial buildings of any height. This is because cast iron, unlike aluminum, copper and steel, which are inert against most corrosive media, is not afraid of corrosion in case of air ingress into the system when draining of the coolant at the time of installation and commissioning.

For customers with high demands on aesthetics as well as for exploitation of radiators in non-standard conditions (high humidity, extreme temperatures, aggressive environment, etc.), for some models of radiators is an additional grinding of the front and upper sides of the sections and two-stage paint with special, durable epoxy enamel, followed by polymerization in an oven at a temperature of 200*C.

Molded cast-iron section is very resistant to water hammer when filling the system, and its considerable weight and large, compared to the section bimetallic radiator, the amount of water it allows you to start heating the room with radiant energy at a coolant temperature of only 3 - 5*C above the temperature of the air in the room. While bimetal radiator, using the principle of convection to work effectively, you need a temperature difference to the coolant - to-air at least 15 - 20*C. cast Iron radiators are simple in operation, high strength and durable which are in constant demand from consumers.
