DRL lamp 125W
Arc Mercury Lamp (Bulb DRL) — is the arc of the phosphor mercury lamp high pressure. Widely used for General lighting surround areas (streets, factory floors, playgrounds and so on), where there are strict requirements for color reproduction, but requires greater light output. DRL lamps have a capacity of from 50 to 2000 watts. They are designed to work in networks with variable voltage and current power supply of 220 Volts (the standard frequency of 50 Hertz). DRL lamp needs a ballast (choke).
Lamp DRL 125 – the principle of
This lamp is fed AC voltage. It is sent to the main and additional electrodes which are arranged on one side and burner on the same pair of electrodes located on the other side of the quartz burner. The next place (gap), where the focusing voltage is the interval between the main burner electrodes, which are located at its opposite sides.
The very distance between the main and additional electrodes little. This makes it easy to ionize the gas gap, filing for a certain value of voltage. The current, which occurs after breakdown at the site, is restricted to electrical resistance. It is in an electric chain of the additional electrodes standing in front of entrance of the conductors into the burner. As soon as the ends of the burners started to ionization, the discharge is gradually moving to the area between the main electrodes of the quartz burner. This gives the continued burning of the lamp bulb DRL.
