HDF, fiberboard, called from the HDF – High Density Fiberboards, i.e. "plate of high density". HDF is produced by hot pressing of wood fibers, under the influence of high temperature are pressed together, and the result is a thin, durable sheet. Characteristics reminiscent of HDF fiberboard, but according to specialists, HDF is a more modern, versatile material, and more advanced than MDF. Especially popular in the manufacture of laminated boards are HDF, i.e. LHDF in the manufacture of which the plate surface is covered with a special film.
