Direct purpose:to realize that at the same form subjects can have various sizes. To match on a given or self-selected rules. To consolidate the concept (visual, oral lesson).
Indirect aim:learning purposeful actions and improvement of motor skills. Preparation ordered structures concerning the sizes of subjects. Age: about four years.
How to work with material. The teacher brings a box with yellow cylinders. However, he shows the child how to carry the box, puts him in his place for work, clears the box and puts it aside. The yellow cylinders are the most easy to work with. Starting with the large cylinder, master builds a row of uniformly changing the size of the cylinders. When he compares the cylinders, comparing them with each other, selects the next largest cylinder and puts it in a row. One of the fingers he touches alternately to the cylinders built in a row, highlighting the most of them staggering. Attention is paid to focus. The child should pay attention to uniform descending order of cylinders in the row. The child repeats the exercise. Similarly, work with all ranks of cylinders.
Control over mistakes: at the wrong order is disturbed the harmony series. Visual control over mistakes!Further exercises:

- to build a number based on other patterns (see the pink tower!);

- to find the cylinders having any two identical properties, for example, identical color and diameter or identical diameter and height;
- to construct of cylinders to a snake. Inside the snake height of cylinders has to decrease;
- to make combinations with inserted cylinders.
Application: the child looks for other things of a cylindrical form.
