Phosphogypsum - ameliorant for agriculture .

the use of Phosphogypsum in agriculture :

- for amelioration of solonetzes (desalinization of the soil);

- mixture of lime for amelioration of acidic soils;

as fertilizer ameliorants (in 1 ton of Phosphogypsum contains about 10 kg of Phosphorite);

- composting with organic and biological products fertilizers;

for receiving a slowly soluble fertilizer of prolonged action.

Especially effective is the use of phosphogypsum on soils with high concentration of sodium. The increase in the content of sodium ions leads to disruption of soil structure and its bonding. On the surface of the soil in this case forms a waterproof crust. With the introduction of finely ground gypsum ions sodium displaced from soils by calcium ions, the formed sulfate sodium is amenable to leaching, alkalinity of the soil is reduced and recovers its permeability.

Phosphogypsum effect on the soil more efficiently than natural plaster, as is more soluble in the soil compositions. Phosphogypsum is entered in soil (every few years) with high doses (5-20 t/ha).
