Ammonium nitrate is a crystalline powder or granules of white color with a yellowish tinge, salt of nitric acid. Very soluble in water, ammonia, pyridine, methanol, ethanol. Under normal atmospheric conditions degrade very slowly.

It is highly soluble mineral ammonium nitrate highly concentrated fertilizer. Contains 34.4% of nitrogen. Agriculture ammonium nitrate produced in the form of granules of spherical shape. Among all the fertilizer it takes the first place for use in agriculture, which accounts for 55-60% of the market of mineral fertilizers. High hygroscopicity, not to dampen some additives absorbing moisture: ground limestone, chalk, phosphate, phosphogypsum.

Used for mineral nutrition of crops with mainly pre making and fodder crops. The highest efficiency is achieved when using ammonium nitrate for early spring fertilizing of winter wheat, winter rape and also for making a surface or locally to sowing or at sowing of spring crops, fertilizing technical, vegetable and melon crops. High effect is obtained by simultaneous application with phosphorus and potassium. Forbidden ammonium nitrate to make for cucumbers, zucchini, squash and pumpkin, as it promotes the accumulation of nitrates!

This fertilizer is produced as follows: nitrogen bound to hydrogen, as a result of the occurring reaction of the formed ammonia; ammonia is subsequently oxidized to nitric acid, and when you combine ammonia with nitric acid to make ammonium nitrate i.e. ammonium nitrate. This Agrochemistry will contain nitrogen in two forms, i.e. ammonium and nitrate (17% ammonium and 17% of nitrate nitrogen, in the amount of 34% nitrogen).
