Fluoroplast - 4 is a unique material obtained by chemical means. It is extremely among the polymers chemical resistance. Teflon and Polyacetal copolymer -4 D stand for all mineral and organic acids, alkalis, organic solvents, oxidizing agents with the exception of melts and solutions of alkali metals, elemental fluorine and chlorine TRIFLUORIDE at elevated temperatures. Good mechanical strength is maintained in the temperature range from-190 ° C up to +250OC. Dielectric properties of PTFE does not change to 200, and chemical – up to 300ºC. These properties make its products indispensable in the chemical, electrical industry, instrument making, machine building, nuclear power, food, textile and medical industries.
The use of PTFE in friction increases the reliability and durability of mechanisms provides stable operation in corrosive environments, high vacuum and
cryogenic temperatures. In electronics and radio engineering it is used for insulation of wires,
cables, connectors, PCB manufacturing, the slot insulation of electrical machines and microwave technology.
In the medical and pharmaceutical industries fluoropolymer used for the manufacture of artificial blood vessels, heart valves, tanks for storage of blood and serum, packaging for medicines and much more. PTFE is physiologically and biologically harmless. In the food industry and household appliances used for the manufacture of veneer rolls for rolling dough, anti-adhesive and non-stick coatings, seals, pumps for milk and liquid foods.
PTFE rolled sheet produced in two grades: HTZ and HTN. They are intended for the manufacture of gaskets and diaphragms, resistant to aggressive environments and working under pressure, as well as for the manufacture of electrical insulation, anti-friction, and chemically resistant sealing elements, structures and other details. Used at temperatures from -60 to +250 °C.
