The torso of the Landrace stretched, back straight, the leg is dense, flat, long ears, strongly overhanging the eyes, the skin is thin, white bristles, rare. Weight of boars Landrace reaches 300 kg, sows 250 kg.
The Landrace have a high reproductive capacity. The fecundity of sows 10-12 pigs per farrowing, a milk – 50-64,4 kg, weight of the nest at weaning in 2 months 171-214 kg, the average weight of one Piglet – 17-22,7 lbs. Calves for fattening bacon to 6 months weighs in at 100 kg, feed cost per 1 kg increase – 3,14-3,35 feed units.
The breed is widely used for industrial crossing with purebred and crossbred ewes with Large White and other breeds of pigs. The Farrow crossbred sows increases by 5-10%, the precocity of young animals — in 5-12% while reducing cost of feed per 1 kg increase in live weight; meat content in the carcass increases by 2-7%.
