Mechanism

The current
substance glyphosate is an inhibitor of the enzyme (EPSPS), which is responsible for the synthesis
necessary for life of plants aromatic amino acids. The drug diffuse
penetrate the leaf surface and distributed throughout the plant, including
rhizomes, in contact with the ground decomposes into non-toxic compounds. First
signs of herbicidal effect appears in 2-3 days, first in the form of
yellowing, then wilting the leaves. Due to the content in the preparation of glyphosate in
potassium form became possible to increase the concentration of the active substance and to reduce
the rate of flow in comparison with traditional forms of glyphosate (e.g.
Isopropylamine).
