Barium sulfate

 

Sulfate barium — sulfate salt of barium. The chemical formula is BaSO4.

Properties

The crystalline substance is white powder or transparent crystal, practically insoluble in water(solubility of 0,0015 g/l at 18 °C) and other solvents. In the nature meets in the form of the mineralbarite, which is the main barium ore.

Analytical chemistry
