Hipofosfit sodium
Hipofosfit sodium — inorganic the compound, salt of alkaline metal of sodium and phosphonoacetic acid with the formula Na(PH2O2), colourless crystals, very soluble in water, forms a the crystalline.
Get hipofosfit sodium:
• Dissolution of white phosphorus in the cold the concentrated solution of caustic soda.
• The oxidation of phosphine with sodium hypochlorite.
• Neutralization with alkali posterolateral acid.
• Decomposition of calcium phosphinate sodium carbonate.
Used in the manufacture of chemical fibers, ion exchange resins, chemicals, pulp and paper, the medical industry, ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy and other industries of the national economy.
Substance is used in different situations. Upon receipt of alkyd resins it prevents the discoloration. Acts as a reagent for photometric determination of antimony, arsenic, etc. More sodium hypophosphite is used as a stabilizer for polyurethanes and PVC.
Also, it is often necessary as the reducing agent in the coating of tin, Nickel, and cobalt on plastic and metals.
