Nitrilotriethanol acid — strong sectionone acid (0.3 mm pK1, RK2 is 1.5, PK3 of 4.64, рК4 of 5.88, рК5 7,3, рК6 of 12.1). With inorganic and organic bases forms salts. Oxidized peroxides in N-oxide. In a wide range of pH forms stable complexes with cations of metals. PH value (1% solution at 20°C) not more than 2.
NTF get the interaction of compounds of phosphorus (phosphorous acid, phosphorus trichloride or monomethylfumarate) with ammonia and formaldehyde in the aquatic environment.
Colorless or slightly greenish crystalline free-flowing powder. Technical characteristics: Mass fraction of main substance in the dried technical product, %, not less than 98. Phosphorous acid (PO3), % not more than 1.5
In the oil industry in as a regulator of physico-chemical properties
drilling fluids and cement slurries, as inhibitor scale inhibitors in the processes of oil production; in construction as the retarder of the setting time of concrete mixtures in the production of monolithic and precast concrete; in the heat as an inhibitor to prevent scaling in various heat exchangers; pulp and paper industry in the process of bleaching pulp at the stage of chelatchie. The use of NTF acid and its salts as the active principle in inhibitors deposits sulfate and carbonate salts allows to fully prevent scaling in the equipment of wells and heat exchangers installations thermochemical dehydration and desalting of crude oil. During drilling of NTF acid effectively reduces the natural viscosity of mud solution, remaining stable in for a long time.
