Alkylbenzenesulfonate sodium

Sulfonol — alkylbenzenesulfonate, a mixture of isomers of sodium salts of alkylbenzenesulfonic, with the General formula R-C6H4NaO3S, where R is the radical corresponding to the General formula СпН2п+1, where n=14-18.

Sulfonol — flowing granular powder yellow to light brown, without odorless or with a faint odor of kerosene; the content of sodium salts alkylbenzenesulfonic of at least 80 %, of sodium sulfate is not more than 15 %. Highly soluble in water, in hard water precipitate. Aqueous solutions turbid in the presence of NaCl.

On today is equally active in the industry used two main brand of the substance: sulfanol bleached and sulfanol technical.

Bleached is the most active base in the manufacture of artificial cleansing agents like powdered structure, and pasty, and liquid. Included in virtually every household chemicals that we used to use in the home: washing powders, primarily for manual washing, gels for washing dishes, etc. It is also used for the production of varnishes and paints, in textile and leather industries, creating a latex filled rubber, automotive, cosmetics (chemistry and car care products), for processing, dyeing and finishing of various textile raw materials. In these areas it acts primarily emulsifier wetting and foaming component.

In the construction industry is for manufacturing of foam concrete and cellular concrete. Also used in chemistry and agriculture. The use of technical sulfanol slightly different. Its main customers are the oil and gas production and oil refining, where with the help of alkyl benzene sulphonate sodium will maximize returns seams, trim the viscosity of solutions for drilling, regulate filtration flows and reduce the flow of water, resulting which increase the percentage of the resulting oil.

Sulfonol used as an active basis in production of synthetic detergents means (powder, paste, liquid), cosmetics, foaming agent, emulsifier, wetting agent, oil and gas industry to increase the impact of layers, in paint and leather industry, in the manufacture of latex-filled rubber compounds and also in other industries.
