Aspartame

Aspartame, also known as Sladeks, NutraSweet, Aspnix is a synthetic sweetener, non-sugar-barnacles. Used as a food supplements and as a sugar substitute. Not to be confused with asparkam (cure) and aspartate (aspartic acid or its salt).

Substance Aspartame looks like white crystals, odorless, almost 200 times sweeter the natural sugar. Aspartame is a methyl ester of the dipeptide consists of phenylalanine and aspartic amino acids. When heated loses its sweetness so it is suitable only food that has not undergone heat treatment (calorizator). Having a minimum calorie (0-4 kcal per 100 grams of product), Aspartame is usually not considered when counting calories. To create a sweet taste you need a small amount of aspartame, so its contribution to the caloric content food is not taken into account. The sweetness of the nutritional supplements can be felt immediately, but the finish is much longer than after eating sugar.

Aspartame used in the production of following products:

· soft soft drinks,

· chewing gum

· yogurt

· candy

· substitutes sugar

· some vitamins and cough drops.

Therefore, buying something from these products and seeing the words "no sugar" is carefully read the composition.

Aspartame often sold in tablet form under the names of Slastilin, Svitli, Sugary, this version can be used as an alternative to sugar. For sweets 1 tablet of Aspartame is equal to 3 grams of sugar. Used for obesity and other diseases that require the limitation or exclusion of the use of sugar.
