The benzotriazole

1,2,3-Benzotriazole (timidamente) is a heterocyclic organic compound with the chemical formula C6H5N3. Used in photography as antivairus tool in the industry corrosion inhibitor, as well as in analytical chemistry.

The benzotriazole is used as contact inhibitor for corrosion protection of objects made of copper, copper alloys, iron, zinc, steel, aluminum, Nickel alloys and silver.

The benzotriazole is added to lubricant cooling products, antifreeze, hydraulic fluids, brake fluid, the functional fluid base oil and rubber, for prevent the ingress of metal ions that accelerate the breakdown and decomposition the chemical product.
