Potassium pyrophosphate
Pyrophosphate potassium — inorganic compound salt of potassium and diphosphorous acid with the formula K4P2O7, colourless crystals, soluble in water, forming crystalline hydrates.
Industrial potassium pyrophosphate used in paint coatings, detergents, cleaners scale, oil drilling, textile-auxiliary substances, bestialita galvanized, surface treatment, water treatment, cleaning pottery clay, etc
In the textile industry it is used as the dispersing additive and a buffering agent to improve the quality of bleaching and staining removal of a small quantity of iron ions from the water.
Due to the property of education complexes, this substance can form stable complexes with ions Ca2+, Mg2+ in hard water. Therefore, it is widely used as an industrial detergent tool.
It also can protect the iron lead, zinc and other metals from corrosion.
Food potassium pyrophosphate is used in food additives, emulsifiers, complexing agents, amplifiers, and etc. It can prevent the loss of color in canned fruit, increase the degree of swelling of ice cream, and the output of hams and sausages, increase water holding capacity fish and meat, improve the taste of the pasta and prevent aging cheese, etc.
Other industries and processes the application of potassium pyrophosphate: electroplating (electrolyte for plating), drilling of oil wells, performpreinit (cleaning pottery clay), BOS-production, the manufacturing of cleansing detergents (domestic and industrial), means for descaling and tooth paste, water treatment and protection of metals (iron, zinc, lead, etc.) from corrosion, bestialite galvanizing, medicine (valuable bactericidal properties). To improve the bleaching, it is withdrawn ions iron (textile industry, where this substance acts as a dispersant and a buffering agent).
Potassium pyrophosphate compound pack as a rule, in plastic woven bags. Packing – 25 kg or 50 kg.
