Sodium tripolyphosphate
Sodium tripolyphosphate - salt tripolyphosphoric acid Na5P3O10. Sodium tripolyphosphate is preextraction phosphoric acid. Is a crumbly white powder, by the presence of inclusions and impurities other colors, as well as large conglomerates, visually, you can judge bad the quality of the product. Can be produced in the form of pellets.
The sodium tripolyphosphate produced food and technical. There are two grades: A and B.
Sodium tripolyphosphate is intended for use:
- when dilute thick pastes, clays, kaolins;
for adjusting the pH of the medium;
- for the manufacture of synthetic detergents,
cleansing, bleaching, disinfecting, decontaminating means;
- in the manufacture of paper, leather, artificial
materials;
- in the manufacture of medicinal and cosmetic
drugs;
- in the manufacture of food products;
for corrosion protection, water treatment and
other purposes.
The main part of the produced tripolyphosphate
sodium is used in the production of detergents.
Technical tripolyphosphate is widely used in chemical
industry as additives for synthetic detergents for
ensure wash at any temperature. It is also used for the manufacture of
means for washing dishes, sinks, toilets, cleaning baths and washing glasses;
cleaning of boilers and water treatment for industrial purposes.
It also finds wide application in
textile and leather industry for bleaching and cleaning, for flotation of ores
for dispersion paints, synthetic rubber manufacturing,
electrolysis processes for the softening of water to prevent loss
precipitation and scale, to stabilize the perhydrol, when drilling oil wells,
paper production to bleach and several other industries.
Besides used for water treatment,
as the dispersion of the reagent in the paper industry and the manufacture of varnishes
and inks, as a diluent in the ceramic industry, as
degreaser surface treatment of metals and as a reagent for
surface enhancement in the production of enamel.
Sodium tripolyphosphate is applied in food
in the food industry. In the meat industry is used as stabilizer,
acidity regulator, dye fixing, anti-oxidant.
In the food industry it is used in
as a dye fixing, acidity regulator, emulsifier, stabilizer.
Sodium tripolyphosphate is used to improve texture of meat and fish
products the role of salt-melter in the production of processed cheese, as
additive in the production of cream, dry and condensed milk, confectionery
industry.
Е451 tripolyphosphate (STPP) used in food
industry is used in the form of hexahydrate in the production of meat and fish
canned and frozen foods to improve texture and
in the production of processed cheese as salt-melter. Often used
together with other phosphates and citrates. Alone or in combination with other
stabilizers used in the production of cream, condensed milk, dry
milk and cream.
In food industry sodium Tripolyphosphate is used in
as a stabilizer and has an index E 451. The main purpose of the Tripolyphosphate

as a result an alkaline reaction in protein containing foods (meat, fish)
