The car is intended for transportation of bulk Nailevich, bulk, stacked and boxed goods that do not require shelter from the weather.
Open top with welded body, interior and exterior railings-stairs, automatic Parking brake, automatic coupling SA-3 with typical absorbing apparatus. Bearing and responsible elements of the body and frame are made of low-alloy steel. Applied profiles with variable cross-section for racks side wall without increasing the weight of the container will increase the strength of the rack in the sealing. The chassis consists of two-axle trucks, model 18-100, for the 1520 mm and 1435 mm (upon customer request). Open top body allows to mechanize the loading.
Unloading gondola is on the tripper. Giving the slope and the presence of flanging in the flooring improves vyzyvaemoi cargo while unloading on the tilters.
Structural differences gondola mod. 12-955 from the conventional design solutions for similar systems:
covering the side and end walls are made of smooth sheet instead of a curved profile;
due to the increase of volume of a body to 88 m3 and reducing the weight of packaging up to 23 tons increased payload gondola up to 71 tons;
the side walls are made with a slope of 1.5° and flooring, bent along the side walls at an angle of 45°, improve emptying of the cargo during unloading;
on the front wall there are three zones and four gain a U-shaped cross-section, providing sufficient stiffness to resist loads from collisions.
These changes in car design allow you to use them more efficiently for shipments that do not require protection from atmospheric precipitations, to increase the durability of the end walls as the weakest site of the car.
