Water supply pressure pipes made of PVC have a number of favourable differences in comparison with pipes of other materials. The main advantages of bell-and-spigot pressure PVC pipes:
easy installation without use of special expensive equipment (special configuration of the socket, and replacement rubber gasket provides complete sealing pressurized systems);
high strength and resistance to corrosion and electrocorrosion that can be caused by the action of stray currents;
very high resistance of PVC pipes to aggressive media, within the range of pH2 – pH12;
long life (more than 50 years, provided that working pressure does not exceed the nominal value, and the pipe will not be affected by the factors that accelerate the breakdown of polymers (e.g., chemicals, UV);
and much more.
