Salt tablets is used for regeneration of ion exchange resins in water softening installations. In the process, ion-exchange resin with sodium ions, is exhausted, that is, loses its efficiency. To restore its working properties requires periodic regeneration brine. During the regeneration of ion-exchange resin gives the water ions of calcium and magnesium and Deplete sodium ions. Then water with a high content of salts washed into drain and the resin is ready for use again. There is a restoration of exchange capacity of the resin.
