Dynasylan GLYMO – organofunctional silane, which has a reactive glicinia (epoxy resin) hydrolyzable group and methoxyl groups. The dual nature makes it suitable for chemical bonding of inorganic materials (glass, metals, fillers) and organic polymers, acting as adhesion promoter/stapler.
Is a colorless liquid with terpentinovogo smell. Soluble in alcohols, ketones, aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons.
In the presence of water, methoxy-group Dynasylan GLYMO hydrolyzed with the formation of silanol groups (Si-OH) that can chemically connect with many inorganic substrates. Hydrolysis of Dynasylan GLYMO can catalyze organic acids such as acetic. Organophilic functional glicinia group Dynasylan GLYMO reacts with a suitable polymer.
Dynasylan GLYMO can be used with such polymers as epoxy, phenolic, polyurethane, PVA, acrylics, polysulfides.
