Dynasylan HMDS is found under the title of hexamethyldisilazane and bis(trimethylsilyl)amine, is the most widely used reagent for trimethylsilylpropyne proton organic and inorganic materials.
Hexamethyldisilazane is a colorless liquid, c a pungent odor, is hydrolyzed by moisture in air. Reacts with such proton substrates such as alcohols, phenols, carboxylic acids, amino acids, carbohydrates, thiols and amines with the formation of similarbank derivatives and ammonia.
The release is carried out preferably by hydrolysis, providing a high content of the target product."
