Dynasylan OCTEO is Monomeric alkylphenolic silane with an average chain length. Used as a surface modifier for imparting hydrophobicity of inorganic fillers and pigments, e.g. titanium dioxide. Medium chain alkylpolyglycoside imparts unique properties to the compounds, prigotovlenna with the use of fillers or pigments treated with Dynasylan OCTEO, and polymers, e.g., polyethylene or polypropylene. Recomendada to enter in an amount of from 0.5 to 1.5% by weight of the pigment.
Dynasylan OCTEO is a colorless idxt, soluble in non-polar solvents (solvents, toluene, etc.). Its low volatility and viscosity are doing silane convenient to use. During the hydrolysis of Dynasylan OCTEO releases a certain amount of ethanol.
