Feeding of young cattle
Feed for calves 20 ― 30 days
Rational system rearing of young cattle (calves) subject to biological characteristics of animals should contribute to normal growth, development, the formation of high productivity and strong Constitution, prolonging economic use.
The need in calves energy and nutrients
When determining
the needs of young growth in energy and food substances peculiarities
metabolism in the body that determines the intensity of growth in different
age periods.
In the first hours after birth, the calf must receive colostrum, in
which contains increased ( in comparison with conventional milk) number
protein, fat, minerals, vitamins. In colostrum also contain
associated with globulin antibodies ( protective substances) that provides
the newborn calf immunity against pathogenic microbes.
During the milking period there is a significant functional reorganization bodies
digestion , the ability to absorb nutrients
vegetable feed, increased protein , mineral and water metabolism in the body.
The period is characterized by the simultaneous intensive growth of organs and
tissues, the ability of animals to give high growth rates.
Starter granulated feed
Widely used in
growing and fattening young K. R. S. received pelleted starter
feed. The above feed takes into account all the necessary
nutrients for the development of calves in intensive breeding. In recipes
starter feed is definitely dry milk or milk replacer, or antibiotics
probiotics.
Young, growing animals are able to give high gains at more economical
cost of energy and using high protein feeds. This biological
feature of calves you want to use, enabling them to enjoy full
animal feedstuffs. Gains of calves at an early age have relatively
high in protein and lower – fat. With age in young
increases the deposition of fat and minerals. However, the composition of the
growth is greatly influenced by the feeding level. Very abundant feeding
contributes to increased deposition of body fat.
