Lava lamp or lava lamp is a decorative lamp.

The principle of operation of lava lamps is quite simple: in a glass bulb is transparent oily liquid water-based and glycerin, which slowly floating translucent sphere made of wax (or paraffin). Refrigerated wax sinks to the bottom of the bulb, but the heat of the bottom of the bulb, expands and rises, forming a constantly changing form, through which lava lamp and noteworthy.

Continuously successive floating colored spheres form an intricate patterns that beautifully flow from one to another and create a special atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

The first lava lamp was released in the city of Pula in the UK company "Crestworth" in the early 1960s. After the presentation at a trade fair in 1964 with unusual lamp interested in entrepreneurs who purchased rights to manufacture the lamps in America and founded the Corporation "Lava Simplex International". So the lava lamp got its original title and soon became known in other countries. 50 years of lava lamps decorate homes around the world, and today it regains popularity.
