Welding wire cored necessary, when the shielding gas cannot be used for welding. It contains a powder flux that protects the weld. It is melted during welding, maintaining a stable burning of the arc, and the resulting peel seam creates protection from oxidation by atmospheric air. The flux also contributes to the alloying metal.
This technology is more comfortable than usual. Therefore cored welding wire E71T-GS is widely used in the production of machine tools, as well as food, automotive and chemical industries. E71T-GS is simply irreplaceable in the conditions where the use of welding wire of a different type is not possible, for example, in the construction of ships. It's main advantage is the ability to use a large current, since, due to the increased viscosity of the slag, the metal is sprayed.
The chemical composition of E71T-GS: base ― iron, aluminum ― 1.48 per cent, manganese and 0.64%, silicon – 0,38%, carbon – 0,24%, phosphorus and sulfur only 0.002% and 0.012% respectively. Produced the product in coils weighing 1 kg and a diameter of 0.9 mm.
