The extrusion line for the production of textured soy protein designed to produce soy texturate (textured protein) used in the meat industry as a food additive. The line consists of a receiving system, raw material mill, extruder, drying/cooling, aspiration and control systems. Texturing (changing the structure) of the source of soy protein (shelled soybeans, contains no fat) occurs in the extruder, where under the influence of pressure, temperature status changes of protein molecules with the formation of a longitudinally elongated strands, imitation meat protein.
