Gear oil is resistant to ageing even under high thermal load. Good fluidity at low temperatures due to the high degree of purification of base oils and content of depressor additives. Gear oil contains special active substances to suppress foaming, lubricated machine parts are protected from corrosion. Alpine Gear Oil 80W-90 GL-4 is used in the stepped gear boxes and steering mechanisms in the main transmission (not hypoid gear) vehicles (including commercial). The oil has a classification and approvals: API GL-4, MIL-L-2105; MB-Freigabe 235.1, FORD SQM-2C-9008A, Norm MAN 341 Typ Z-1, ZF TE-ML 02A/16A/17A/19A.
