Pulley, impeller and the housing of the pump is made of cast iron SCH20 brand, by casting in sand-clay forms. The next important step is to check the shaft for hardness, run-out and appropriate size. The hub of the pulley is made of steel, not cast iron, which prevents premature breaking of the keyway, which it is connected to the shaft, which greatly prolongs the life of the water pump YAMZ.
All pumps are checked for serviceability on a special stand, where recreated the working conditions of the pump YAMZ, close to real. At this stand, the pump is tested for air-tightness, operability and performance. After these checks on the inner surfaces of the pump can be seen traces of rust.
