4.1 the Purpose, layout and operation cycle of the machine
Vertical gear shaping machine model 5А12 designed for cutting cylindrical spur gears of external and internal gear, gear units, wheels with collars and gear couplings.
On Fig. 3 shows a General view of the machine, and Fig. 4 – kinematic diagram.
Lower part of the frame of the machine And is the basis and has a box-like shape. This part serves as both a reservoir for coolant. On the horizontal guides the middle portion of the frame located In the carriage with a table G, intended for holding a work of the workpiece.
On guides the top of the bed is the caliper B of the RAM (spindle) D gear shaping cutter. In this part the frame is placed a crank

the end cycle roller tappet falls into the cavity K1 on the Cam, the caliper is given in the initial position, the Cam presses K3 to the destination VC switch and the machine stops.
