Purpose:the Coupler SA-3 is used for traction of wagons between them and the locomotive, keeping them at a certain distance from each other, perception, communication and mitigation actions in the train and when maneuvering.- automatic traction at collision of cars; automatic locking of the lock linked automatic couplers;
The coupler SA-3 provides:
- decoupling of rolling stock, stepping between railcars and the retention mechanism in the unlatched position until the withdrawal of the automatic couplers;
- automatic return mechanism in the position ready to grip after dilution of the automatic coupler; the restoration of accidentally de-coupled clutch of the automatic coupler, not spreading wagons;
- production of shunting (the situation in the "buffer"), when the collision the coupler must not be connected to. To the clutch coupler can occupy different relative position:
- their axes are collinear;
- axis can be shifted vertically or horizontally.
Offset vertical allowed on a freight train to 100 mm and the passenger speed to 50 mm and in the horizontal direction to 175 mm, which provide a reliable automatic coupling of wagons in operation.
