Polyethylene tubing is the most common type of polymer (plastic) pipes used to supply combustible gases (which are used as feedstock and fuel for industrial and domestic purposes) and are intended for the construction and repair of gas supply networks. Pipe gas produced according to DSTU B C. 2.7-73-98 "polyethylene Pipes for supplying combustible gases. Pipes are produced from polyethylene classes of PE 80 and PE 100 standard dimension ratio SDR and SDR 17,6 11, nominal diameters from 20 to 400 mm, Color tubes - black with yellow colour bands. Pipe gas, produced in straight lengths (from 6 to 12 m in agreement with the customer), bundled. Gas pipes, with a diameter not exceeding 110 mm are produced in coils of 50 to 500 m
POLYETHYLENE PIPES FOR GAS SUPPLY PE-80, PE-100
The use of polyethylene pipes for gas pipelines has the following advantages:
lifetime longer than that of the metal (the warranty period 50 years);
do not require cathodic protection, and therefore almost never need servicing;
not afraid of contact with water and are resistant to the most aggressive environments;
polyethylene pipes are 2-4 times lighter than steel;
polyethylene pipes are capable of withstanding variable loads from the ground;
polyethylene pipes with a diameter of 20 to 110 mm are produced bays from 50 to 500 meters;
butt welding of polyethylene gas pipes are much cheaper, easier and takes less time;
plastic junction requires no additional consumables (isolation electrodes);
use temperature resistant couplings, while the welding process is greatly simplified;
preparation of welders for polyethylene gas pipes are significantly less than for steel;
the possibility of a gas pipeline lining method of broaching;
high elasticity and low roughness of the inner surface.
