Battery hydrocyclones are designed for classification with the beneficiation of ore minerals in an aqueous medium size finely dispersed solid materials in a centrifugal field created by the rotation of the pulp. The original pulp is fed to the hydrocyclone under pressure through the supply nozzle installed tangentially, directly under the cover. The Sands are discharged through the bottom sand nozzle; drain passes through the internal drain pipe located in the center of the cover, and then is output through the drain pipe.
The use of hydrocyclones in metallurgical production can significantly reduce energy consumption and to reduce wear of the mills by reducing process overgrinding of the ore particles.
Battery hydrocyclones have been applied in coal and oil production, food processing, pulp and paper industries, in water treatment systems. They are used in many technological cycles, as thickeners, clarifiers, classifiers. Replacement of existing classifiers on hydrocyclone installation in existing production conditions, allows you to withdraw up to 50% of the production area areas classification
