The car is intended for transportation of bulk grain and other lightweight powdery and granular materials with a specific gravity of 0.7 - 0.75 g/cm3, require protection from atmospheric precipitations, with gravitational loading and unloading the car in mezhrelsovyh space. The car is operated on the entire railway network of the countries-participants of the CIS, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia 1520 mm.
