The car is intended for transportation of steel sheets in coils, of a diameter of from 950 to 2050 mm, with band width from 900 to 1800 mm and weight roll from 5 to 24 tons, require protection from atmospheric precipitations.
Operation of the carriage is produced by industrial enterprises and transport companies of Ukraine, CIS and Baltic countries.
Structural differences of the carriage from its analogues
When developing a car mod. 13-975 were applied following design solutions, different from the conventional designs of platform cars:
to protect the cargo from rain the car is a sedan, representing the four movable metal partitions can move one another in pairs, and two fixed end walls, mounted in cantilever parts of the frame of the car; on the perimeter of the partitions and end walls installed labyrinth seal;
the sliding section is made in the form of the frame structure of the arch type of closed profiles with square cross-section, providing the sections of the body stability and strength, with a covering of thin sheet;
the sliding movement of the sections is carried out by means of roller bearings roller bearings, along the guides on the side beams of the frame without binding from efforts from 294 to 490 H (30 to 50 kgf), i.e. manually one work (from any side);
the device is movable body allows loading and unloading of the car with a crane or forklift, provides access to the loading dock at half its length on either side or in the middle, and provides easy inspection of the car when carrying out routine operations.
