Potassium genesisintermedia. Potassium genesisintermedia (red blood salt, potassium ferricyanide, potassium hexacyanoferrate) K3[Fe(CN)6] - dark red rhombic crystals; solubility in water 26, 8% (10°C). the aqueous solution is yellow-green color; the light gradually decomposes and K4[Fe(CN)6].
In alkaline medium genesisintermedia potassium is a strong oxidizing agent (especially when heated).
When heated with dilute sulphuric acid decomposes to release hydrocyanic acid, by the action of concentrated H2SO4 stands out carbon monoxide.
