This colorless, transparent crystals or white powder, odorless. Get ammonium sulfate by the action of sulfuric acid on ammonia and exchange reactions with other salts. Used as a fertilizer and in the manufacture of viscose, in the food industry, in the purification of proteins in biochemistry, as an additive in the chlorination of tap water. Toxicity of ammonium sulfate is very low.
