Barium chloride is widely used in various industries and in agriculture: - in processes of the chemical industry in the manufacture of dyes and pigments, cleaning solutions of chromates and sulphates, for the production of barium salts;
- mechanical engineering and metallurgy used in the processes of hardening high-speed steel, heat treatment products, as the heating medium in the hot pressing of metals, and in the processes of leaching of different parts, as an additive in the electrolyte upon receipt of magnesium, ferrous metallurgy as chataway material;
- in the textile industry is used for the weighting and lightening of the skin;
- in agriculture is used for pest control.
